Review: Essence Get BIG lashes

Hi ladies I just recently bought this mascara about one week ago. Now it's time to do a review on this little toy. I bought this mascara at Paloma, The Mall.

Get Big lashes!, Essence:
  • It cost around BND 4.90 (if I'm not mistaken)
  • 12 ml in a bottle
  • Made in Luxembourg
  • Waterproof version
  • Volume boost
  • It says for maximum volume and especially thick lashes.
  • Smudge and waterproof.
  • Ophtalmologically tested.

big fat applicator and also full of little brushes on it

For the first time I used this mascara, it was a very dry mascara. Then when I applied my second coat it gives me thick eyelashes but in a weird way and also it created lumps at the ends of the lashes because it was quite dry. After few hours,  obviously it looked really firm and dry. The most uncomfortable thing was that when it comes to in the middle of the day, it started to annoy my eyes like there was something went into my eyes I believed it was the lumps from my lashes.

However, it is a waterproof mascara and also a bit thicken and lengthen my lashes. The end of the day, it was very hard to remove and it took time. It required me to remove using the olive oil to smooth out the process of removing the mascara. Seriously I can't stand to own that drying mascara and quite difficult to apply, so I decided to put in 12 drops of Eyemo in the mascara to make it bit moisturize.

Today, I used this mascara again to see if there was any changes after I dropped the eyemo liquid. Then it 's really works, which give the mascara quiet different from the first time I used it. It makes me easy to apply.

Here is the look after put in the eye drops into the bottle:

After finish applied the mascara ( 2 coats of mascara)
So far,so good. It's kind of thicken and bit of lengthen my eye lashes. So far, so good which is much better than the first time. You might not see the different from the first time used and after using the eye drops. My apologies I forgot to take some pictures at the first time using it.

Side view (2 coats of mascara)
A bit of lumps at the end of lashes but it's okay. It's much better now compared to the previous one.

Front view (2 coats of mascara)
This look was right away after I applied the mascara, which was okay.

So far it felt much better than before where it does not annoyed my eyes and does not look weird at all. Around 2.32 pm I did check my lashes, it was still okay does not create any problem so far. Unfortunately I did not take picture of it.

Here is the look when I went back home around 3.32 pm:

From the picture, you can see that it does not really hold the curls for a very long time. When I went back home my lashes already went down a bit. It only able to hold the curls approximately about 2 hours. But it still  good though, where it maintains the thick eyelashes. However, it still hard to remove the mascara which still need the help from the olive oil.

Generally, this product was not really good though since it was really dry, difficult to apply and give some weird look of lashes. However, after put in some eye drops into it turns to be a good ones. So if you already own one of this and don't like it or planning to get one of this make sure to put in some eye drops in it then you might love it than before.

Verdict: 3/10 (The product itself without the eye drops in)
: 5/10 (With the eye drops in)

Holiday look 2013 | Make up

As I promised before, I wanted to do another make up look. Since it's already holiday season so why not I create a holiday make up look.

P/S: This look is not perfect as the Make up Artist or a professional MUA. I'm not one of those but I do love playing with the make up so here I am with my untalented make up work.

That is my holiday make up look. Very simple and easy applied. Again from the picture, it looks very harsh on the crease but believe me it does not look very harsh in real.

Products that I used for this look were from Mac and sleek palette.

L- R: Mac 21 eye shadow, Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matts V2

The colours that I picked up for this look:

Lastly I used this colour from Mac for final touch:

Excuse the mess, this is one of my oldest palette

Bridex 2013

I would like to share with you guys my first experienced of the 4th biggest event of Brunei International Defence Exhibition. Last Thursday, My boyfriend and I went to the Bridex to see the International Defence Exhibition. I already missed the other 3 exhibitions which was held in Brunei. So, I was super excited about the 4th International Defence hence before this I heard good things about the event.

The event started on 2nd until 6th of December 2013. The first 3 days was only opened for the VIP, while on the next 2 days which was on 5th and 6th December 2013 was opened for public. Basically, this event was held in two parts: the first one was at the Bridex Centre which the second one was at the Rimba Air force. We bought the tickets on the 30th of November at the Bridex office and chose the date on 5th December  for the exhibition. Not to forget, talking about the transportation, there was free shuttle bus provided at the certain locations such as at the UBD Sport Complex, Pantai Tungku and also ITB (if i'm not mistaken).

So on the day itself 5th December, we decided to go early around 7.30 a.m. At first we stopped by at the 'Ambar Kasturi' restaurant to have our breakfast. We had Roti Kosong ( Indian food) and also Mamak fried noodles. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to take pictures of the foods since I was so freaking hungry *typical me LOL*.

Then we left the restaurant around 8.20 am,and arrived at the UBD Sport Complex about 9 a.m sharp. At first I was shocked since there was no more shuttle buses and quiet worried since we already late. I already saw two buses left the area. After seeing lots of people queued up with the label of Bridex then I was relieved. At that time, there was already a long queued more over it was a very hot sunny day. We did wait for the bus about more less of 45 minutes. I was quite worried also because we already missed the air show time at 9 a.m

When we arrived at 10 a.m
Of course, when we arrived there was lots of security screening check which kind of annoyed me. I believed it was more than 3 times for the security screening check, since I kept on going in and out of their exhibition halls. I was quite disappointing about the show because we already missed the first part of the air show. While the second air show would be at 10.30 a.m, so at the mean time we went to the exhibition halls at the East wing and West wing halls. So here is the only two good pictures that I captured inside exhibition halls, at that time there was tons of people squeezed in to take pictures:

I don't have any I idea what it is even though my boyfriend already explained to me but I still have no idea about it

Then at the 11 a.m, there was another air show, so here are some of the pictures that I captured. The picture taken might not be very good since my lens is only 10mm to 30mm. *need to buy a greater lens*

People watched the air show
Personally speaking, I did enjoyed the event but I am expecting more from them. However, at the second part of the event was at Rimba Airforce which we did skipped that event. We were extremely tired.

So have you ever went to any army defence event related?

November Favourite 2013

For this month I don't have much favourite only a few but I still want to share with you guys what's are my favourite for this month. So without wait any longer let's jump right into my November Favourites.

This purply polka dot bag is my favourite of the month because it quite small and very handy. I also love how it looks like, very simple yet cute and also I love the colour. This bag actually available in 3 colours: purple, green and nude.

As you can see from the picture above, it is also very spacious where I can throw in my big camera, my big bottle of water, my A4 notebook, wallet and A5 business card which means I don't need to carry my big bag during my field work.

My second favourite is the Colossal Volume Express Mascara which I'm so freaking in love with. I use it every time I went out as you can tell from the picture the label already fade out and crack on the lid *lol*. It gives me a very volumizing eye lashes.

For the third favourite of the month is the Garnier BB cream which I use it every single day. It kinds of give a dewy finish which makes my skin looks much healthier and it also helps to even out the discolouration of my face. I also got lots of compliment when wearing this BB cream :)

Next one is the Jacqualine hair cream for conditioning and wet look hair styles. I have bought this hair product for a very long time ago but at first I did not like it at all because it kind of very greasy and oily to my hair. Then I just knew how to use this product properly by just applying a very small product and rub it in by hand then apply it to my hair. It just give a very perfect natural shiny hair, even healthier and also help to reduce my frizzy hair.

Okay for the 6th favourite, I love this Strawberry Hand & Body Shiffon Cream from The Face Shop. It smells a very light strawberry scent like a strawberry candy. Overall, I just love it and I almost run out of this product and I need another one of this.

I also love this Shea body butter from body shop, it keep my skin very hydrating the next morning. I usually use this before sleep and I love the feeling of smoothness onto my skin. And again, it seems like I use it much this month  and need to buy more.

My last favourite is again another favourite from Body Shop: Mango perfume and the Mango body mist which I love the smells very much. Generally, I don't use it every day but when I use it I will use it like a crazy. I spray the body mist and the perfume like more than I use to. It just because I loveee the scent. As you can tell from the picture I already use it half of the bottle for the body mist and the perfume quarter of it.

So yeah that's it for my November favourites in 2013, so what are your favourite for this November?
